November SFF: Roundtable Discussion Regarding 2026 Topics

The Small Firm Forum (SFF) of the American Institute of Architects Northeast Illinois Chapter is a group of small firm practitioners and aspiring firm owners that meet monthly in a round- table setting for professional presentations as well as to discuss the growing pains and triumphs of small firm ownership.  The SFF is designed to provide a resource for collecting and sharing knowledge and experience with like-minded colleagues. Our focus is predominantly, but not exclusively residential in nature. Monthly meetings occur on the 2^nd Tuesday of each month and have primarily been held at the Downers Grove Library.

This month’s meeting is an open request for attendees to provide feedback on past forums, suggestions for future topics and provide an opportunity to become more involved and participate in the program. If you think the SFF is, has and can continue to be a positive component to your practice, please join us for a discussion and planning session to have your input heard.

Learning Objectives

1. Discuss previous forum topics and their benefits / deficiencies.
2. Review the purpose and goals of the SFF and evaluate the path forward.
3. Discuss current needs and answer questions of the group.
4. Share experiences relating to professional development and challenges in running a small practice.
